Man Killed In East County Shooting

SPRING VALLEY, CA — A man was shot to death Wednesday in Spring Valley.

Deputies from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station responded at 12:22 p.m. to multiple calls of shots fired in the 8700 block of Troy Street and upon their arrival learned that a man had been taken to a hospital by three residents, where he died, said Lt. Joel Stranger of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Stranger said the investigation is ongoing and there are no suspects.
