Man Tries To Lure Girls Into His Car In East County

Do you recognize this man? He is suspected of trying to lure teen girls into his car in Lakeside and unincorporated El Cajon.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – Authorities released a sketch this week of a man who twice tried to lure teen girls into his car in East County.

The first incident happened around 8:30 a.m. June 29 in Lakeside. A man honked as he drove by a 14-year-old girl walking near Royal Road and Winter Gardens Boulevard, according to sheriff’s officials. The girl told investigators the man then made a U-turn, pulled over and told her she was "too pretty to be walking." When he asked if she wanted a ride, she declined and he drove away, officials said.

The man similarly harassed another girl as she was walking her dog the following afternoon.

The second incident happened just before 1 p.m. June 30 in the 400 block of Hart Drive in unincorporated El Cajon, according to sheriff’s officials. The 13-year-old girl told investigators the man honked, made a U-turn, pulled over and asked her how old she was and where she lived. The man drove away when a neighbor pulled into the apartment complex parking lot.

The victims described the suspect as a Hispanic man between 25 to 30 years old with a thin build. He had blue eyes, a shaved head and unshaven or stubble facial hair. The suspect was seen driving a black newer model car with four doors.
