Man Uses Stolen Credit Card to Buy Lottery Tickets in Santee: Crime Stoppers

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the suspect's arrest.

SANTEE, CA: Authorities are on the trail of a man who allegedly used stolen cards to purchase lottery tickets.

Surveillance images taken of the suspect at Honey Donuts, 10718 Woodside Ave., and Vons, 9643 Mission Gorge Road, were distributed Wednesday by the Santee Sheriff's Station in an effort to identify him.

Sheriff's officials say the suspect was caught using someone else's credit card without permission on Feb. 21 to purchase lottery tickets at Honey Donuts, then went to Vons to redeem the tickets.

The suspect was described as white, between 50 and 60 years old, approximately 5-feet-10- to 6-feet-1-inches tall. He weighs about 280 pounds and has gray hair and a beard. HeΒ was wearing glasses, a dark baseball hat backward, a blue T-shirt and dark pants. He appeared to have dark tattoos on his left arm.

Authorities also noted that he was with a 3- to 5-year-old girl, and that he may have been driving a dark-colored 2011 to 2014 Hyundai Sonata sedan.

Anyone who may recognize the suspect or have information about the case was asked to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anonymous email and text messages can be sent in via Sdcrimestoppers.org.
