Santee Shooting Leaves Man Injured, Prompts 'Secure Campus'
An apparent dispute between neighbors led to a shooting that wounded a man in the 9800 block of Shirley Gardens Drive, officials said.

SANTEE, CA – A shooting at a residential complex in Santee left a man injured and a nearby high school "secured" Monday.
The shooting stemmed from an apparent dispute between neighbors in the 9800 block of Shirley Gardens Drive, near Mast Boulevard and Magnolia Avenue, according to sheriff's officials. The gunfire was reported shortly before 11:30 a.m.
The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while another man was detained in the area for questioning, officials said. His name and the name of the victim were not immediately available.

The incident prompted Santana High School to briefly implement a "secure campus," according to school officials. Minutes later, police gave school officials the "all clear."
Officials advised the public to avoid the area.
