Recognize Her? Deputies Seeking Suspected Identity Thief

SANTEE, CA – Santee Sheriff's Station investigators are seeking the public's help identifying a suspected identity thief in East County, who allegedly used a stolen credit card number on April 1 to buy groceries at a Walmart store in Santee.

The female purportedly placed the order through a Walmart phone app, picked up the items at the store on Town Center Parkway in Santee and was caught on surveillance cameras, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies said she also attempted to use the stolen credit card number several more times, but was declined.

The suspect is described as thin with long brown hair, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans at the time and pushing in her shopping cart a blonde child between 2 and 4 years old.

Anyone with information can call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest. Anonymous email and text messages can be sent via www.sdcrimestoppers.org.
