The rental assistance application period will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10th and close at midnight on Sunday, February 14th.

The City of Santee City Council has approved a Rental Assistance Grant Program to assist income-eligible residents who are struggling financially to pay rent due to the coronavirus pandemic. Interested Santee residents will be required to complete an application and provide supporting documentation to demonstrate how they have been impacted by the pandemic.

The City has selected Home Start and Interfaith Shelter Network to administer the rental assistance grant program. Both organizations are local nonprofits that have experience with helping families in need. The organizations will accept and review applications, answer emails, and assist the City of Santee with administering this program.
