Santee Summer Concert Series Returns With 9-Week Music Lineup

SANTEE, CA — Santee's Summer Concert Series returns Thursday with nine weeks of free live music and family-friendly activities at Town Center Community Park East.

The annual series will take place Thursdays from June 11 through Aug. 13, excluding July 2.

"Each concert promises an evening full of live music, fun activities, and delicious bites for purchase from a variety of local food vendors," organizers said.

The June 11 kickoff concert will conclude with a patriotic drone show at 8 p.m., launching Santee's America 250 celebrations. Patriotic-themed activities and features will be incorporated throughout the summer in recognition of the nation's upcoming 250th anniversary.

The Aug. 6 concert will also feature the San Diego County Sheriff's Office National Night Out event, which promotes community engagement and public safety awareness.

Here is this summer's lineup:

• June 11: The Pistol Blonde | Patriotic Drone Show
• June 18: Journeymen
• June 25: Electric Vinyl
• July 9: Cheez Whiz
• July 16: Cassie B
• July 23: 1969 The Tribute
• July 30 – The Detroit Underground
• Aug. 6: The Sea Monks | National Night Out
• Aug. 13: BETAMAXX

The concerts are scheduled from 6:30-8 p.m. at Town Center Community Park East at 550 Park Center Drive.

Organizers encouraged attendees to carpool, walk, bike or use alternative transportation because construction of the Santee Community Center has limited parking and closed the YMCA footbridge. Additional parking will be available at Santana High School.
