Santee Woman's Death Ruled Homicide: Sheriff's Department
BREAKING: The 34-year-old was found dead in her Mission Greens Road apartment Tuesday.

SANTEE, CA β The suspicions of San Diego sheriff's investigators that a Santee woman's death this week was a homicide have been confirmed through an autopsy by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
Sheriff's Lt. Kenneth Nelson stated in a news release Friday evening that the victim has been positively identified as Leticia Arroyo, 34, of Santee.
Authorities found Arroyo dead Tuesday in her apartment at 8837 Mission Greens Road, Unit 3 β near Mission Gorge Road and Cuyamaca Streetβ in Santee, after her roommate called 911 at 10:39 p.m. to say they'd just returned home and found their roommate unconscious with injuries to her upper body.

Nelson said details surrounding her death will not be disclosed at this time.
"Detectives are actively following up on multiple leads and attempting to identify the suspect(s) involved," Nelson said. "Therefore the cause of death and other information regarding the victim and crime scene cannot be released at this time. As the investigation progresses, additional information may be released."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff's Homicide Detail at 858-974-2321 during regular business hours or 858-565-5200 after hours. Tipsters can remain anonymous by calling San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 and be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
