Small Earthquake Felt In Parts Of San Diego County

LAKESIDE, CA — A small earthquake struck Thursday morning near Lakeside in San Diego County.
The magnitude-2.7 quake hit at 7:18 a.m. about 3.7 miles north-northwest of Lakeside, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Although centered in East County, the earthquake was felt as far south as San Diego and as far north as Vista. Residents in Lakeside, Santee, El Cajon, Poway, La Mesa, San Diego, Escondido, San Marcos and Vista reported feeling the quake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
