Whissel Realty is Voted Santee's Favorite

Santee residents voted Whissel Realty as their favorite Property Management/Real Estate company for 2014 because of their deep ties to the community and the superior relationships they have built with their clients.

The Santee’s Favorite award recognizes businesses that impact Santee’s economy and names winners based on the amount of votes gathered from Santee citizens and consumers. With over 300 businesses competing in 22 categories, the Whissel team beat out 16 competitors in the Real Estate category.

The award was presented to Kyle and the Whissel Team at the Santee Chamber’s annual awards ceremony on February 19, 2015 at Barona Resort and Casino in front of 260 Santee businesses and local politicians. Among the attendees were Senator Joel Anderson, Congressman Duncan Hunter, and the entire Santee City Council, including Mayor Randy Vopel.

The Santee Chamber celebrated it’s 60th anniversary this year and is working harder than ever to promote local businesses. This is the 3rd year the Santee’s Favorites awards have been presented and the Chamber continues to use this award as a way to show their support for Santee businesses.

When asked what this award means to Kyle Whissel, he said, “It is truly an honor to not only live in such an amazing community but also to have the opportunity to sell homes in the community we love!”

In addition to the awards recognizing current businesses who are making a difference in the city, the Chamber places tremendous value on developing community leaders. In order to show their support, they run a committee that awards a $1000 Les Hart Memorial scholarship to a Santee student, invites local college students to assist with the event itself, and even supports two military groups, the Marine Heavy Helicopter HMH 426 Heavy Haulers and the Marine Regiment 2nd Battalion 1st Marines. .
