LAKESIDE, CA — A parolee allegedly stabbed her father at his eastern San Diego County apartment Tuesday before making a failed attempt to evade arrest by fleeing and hiding behind a garbage bin on the grounds of the residential complex.

The victim made a 911 call about 9:40 a.m. to report the domestic assault in the 12000 block of Woodside Avenue in Lakeside, identifying his adult daughter as the alleged perpetrator, according to sheriff's officials.

Paramedics took the victim, whose name was not released, to a hospital for treatment of stab wounds to his abdomen and left forearm. He was admitted in critical but stable condition, Sgt. Pat Fox said.

As deputies searched by ground and air for the suspected assailant, 26- year-old Hannah Lee Wogatzke, administrators of several schools and daycare centers near the scene of the assault went into lockdown as a precaution.

Shortly after 11 a.m., a witness flagged down deputies and told them there was a woman hunkered down behind a commercial trash bin on the grounds of the apartment complex where the stabbing took place. The personnel found the suspect there, hiding in a tight space behind the trash receptacle and a concrete wall, and took her into custody without incident, the sergeant said.
