Reminder: Early School Dismissal Thursday Due to Heat
Schools will release students around 11:30 in Saratoga, Campbell and San Jose.

Sweltering temperatures have prompted one school district in Santa Clara County to have emergency minimum days at all of its eight schools Wednesday and Thursday.
The Campbell Union High School District will release students around 11:30 a.m. at its campuses in San Jose, Saratoga and Campbell because of a heat advisory issued by the National Weather Service.

Outdoor activities at the schools will either be canceled or moved indoors, according to school district officials.
The heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. Highs in the Santa Clara Valley will range between 99 and 104 degrees, according to the weather service.

The public is advised to stay hydrated, stay out of sunlight and to not leave any people or pets inside a car, according to the weather service.
