New Saratoga School Trustees Sworn In

Arati Nagaraj and Victor Zhang were sworn in Tuesday evening as new members of the Saratoga Union School District Board of Trustees.

SUSD Superintendent Lane Weiss administered the oath of office.

This is Nagaraj's second term on the board and Zhang's first term after being appointed to the position in October.

Zhang was selected by the board from a field of 12 candidates to assume a seat that became vacant when Trustee Cindy Ruby retired after 20 years of service on the board.

Trustee Patty Buchanan retained her position as board president, trustee Paige Berardo will serve as clerk of the board and Nagaraj will remain as board secretary, the district announced on its website.
