New Trustee Appointed Tonight to Saratoga School District Board

tonight during their regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. at the district office conference room in Saratoga, 20460 Forrest Hills Drive.

Other items on the trustees' agenda include:

• Foothill Elementary School Principal Joe Bosco, staff and students presentation about Edmodo, a social media tool to become responsible digital citizens.
• Director of Educational Services Diane Smalley will present information about the Transitional Kindergarten Report Card and request that the board take action.
• The Saratoga Teachers’ Association and the Saratoga Union School District have reached tentative agreement for the 2012-13 school year on furlough days.
• Saratoga Union School District and Saratoga Classified Association labor contract negotiations for 2012-13. 
• Superintendent Lane Weiss and office assistant Monique Hunt will present a proposal for an online registration system.
• Weiss and Chief Business Official Rosanna Jeng will provide the board with an update on state and local budget items.
