• Peninsula Humane Society Presents New SPCA Sanctuary Project to Pescadero Municipal Advisory Council (coastsidebuzz.com) — Wildlife rehabilitation for this new Peninsula Humane Society sanctuary will continue to be handled at the organization's Saratoga center, while a new 216-acre site near La Honda focuses on hard-to-adopt cats and dogs. At a recent Pescadero council meeting, project leaders detailed permits, construction timing, jobs and internships, and how animals will be selected through the San Mateo intake shelter.
