A Saratoga home in the southeast part of town had its ground lighting, or landscaping lamps, catch fire causing an undetermined amount of damage the night of Nov. 15.
A Santa Clara County Fire dispatcher said the property's front lawn, located at 18569 Decatur Road in Saratoga, was set ablaze at about 8 p.m. when the yard's lighting, meant to beautify the house at night, went up in smokes.
The home is located on the Saratoga-Monte Sereno border and one fire engine responded to the scene, which is about three firefighters, the dispatcher said.

The small fire, deemed unintentional, was quickly extinguished. However, a nearby Juniper bush was fully engulfed in the blaze categorized as a brush-and-grass mixture fire. There was no estimate on property or content losses.
It's not known whether the landscaping lamps were low-voltage lighting or light-emitting diodes, or LEDs patio posts.
