The motivated and enthusiastic kids are using their creativity to help the community through their project, Mission Dental Intervention, said parent volunteer Joanne Quan.
By matching patients who cannot afford dental insurance with dentists who are willing to provide free cleanings, they're addressing the community's dental health needs, she said.
They created a movie and skit for their presentation at the competition.
The team's goal is to raise $13,500 to travel to the final tournament in Tennessee and showcase their creativity and drive to help the community.
Contributions are tax-deductible. Please send a check payable to "California Creativity" to 19770 Solana Drive, Saratoga, CA.
