Updated: Vehicle Hanging Off Cliff Near Saratoga Rescued
Emergency responders helped bring car to safety after crashing at intersection of highway 9 and 35 early Sunday morning.

Updated: 8 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2: A vehicle that drove off the roadway at the intersection of highways 9 and 35 near Saratoga was rescued early this morning and no passengers were injured.
The crash occurred at about 12:25 a.m. when a Mitsubishi Eclipse veered off the highway and was hanging off the cliff with an unknown number of passengers inside near Skyline Boulevard, said CHP officer James Evans.

Emergency responders are at the scene of a collision in rural Santa Clara County that sent a car hanging off of a cliff, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP received a report around 12:30 a.m. of a Mitsubishi Eclipse that went off of the roadway near the intersection of state Highway 9 and state Highway 35 in Santa Clara County near Saratoga.

Fire crews arrived to find the vehicle hanging off of a cliff, according to the CHP.
It is unknown how many people were inside the car or if they were injured.
