What to Expect From Tonight's Saratoga Union School District Board Meeting
Ratification of tentative agreement with the Saratoga Teachers' Association and the process for filling a vacant seat on the board are on the agenda.

The Saratoga Union School District Board of Trustees meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the agency's office conference room, 20460 Forrest Hills Drive, in Saratoga, to discuss the following:
- Saratoga Elementary School Principal Julie Ales, staff and students will present information on their "Cool to Care" program, which recently took place on the campus.
- Director of Facilities Jerry Peth will give a report regarding maintenance work throughout SUSD.
- Director of Educational Services Diane Smalley will present information about the Transitional Kindergarten Report Card.
- Smalley will update the board on items in relation to district-wide curriculum, instruction and assessment.
- Ratification of Tentative Agreement with Saratoga Teachers' Association and Saratoga Union School District
- Superintendent Lane Weiss and Chief Business Official Rosanna Jeng will provide the board with an update on federal, state and local budget items.
- Smalley will present a proposal regarding funding for Professional Development
- Resolution approving annual accounting of developer fees for the 2011-12 fiscal year.
- The board and Weiss will discuss the process for filling a vacant seat on the Board of Trustees.
