The ninth annual Mt. Charlie Challenge Pledge Bike Ride offers 100K and 50K rides through beautiful countryside, beginning and ending in Scotts Valley's Skypark. It's the biggest fundraiser of the year for Scotts Valley's four public schools. Riders get pledges from friends and family, who receive a raffle ticket for each $10 donated (grand prize is a new bike from Cycle Sport). Kiwanis heads up a free BBQ for riders in Skypark afterwards. Families and supporters welcome too. SVHS Drumline performs at the riders' sendoff and two SVHS bands play at the BBQ. Sponsors receive lots of PR and thanks from the schools!
