Pair Allegedly Driving Stolen Car Arrested In Scotts Valley
BREAKING: Police said drugs, paraphernalia and suspected stolen property found in vehicle.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA – A man and woman were arrested in Scotts Valley Monday night after being seen driving a stolen car, police said.
At about 11:48 p.m., a Scotts Valley police officer conducted a records check on a car traveling on Mount Hermon Road, finding that it had been reported stolen out of Santa Cruz.
Before the officer stopped the apparently stolen car, the vehicle made a sharp turn into the Kings Village Shopping Center and stopped.

As the officer approached the car, a man and woman got out and walked away, police said.
The driver, 22-year-old Robert Foley, tried to run away, but the officer caught both Foley and the car's passenger, 35-year-old Julia Jacobs.

After searching the car, the officer found narcotics, drug paraphernalia and "suspected stolen property," according to police.
Both suspects were booked on suspicion of probation violations and possession of stolen property. Foley is also suspected of vehicle theft, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
Jacobs is suspected of possession of drug paraphernalia.
