Police K9 Sniffs Out Heroin, Meth, Cocaine In U-Haul Van: Cops
Two people were arrested following the discovery, according to police.
SCOTTS VALLEY, CA — Two people driving in a U-Haul van were arrested on suspicion of multiple drugs charges this week, Scotts Valley Police Department officials said. The officers stopped the van and said the passenger, later identified as Greg Spencer, allegedly gave police a fake name.
A police canine used to sniff the van alerted on the car. Police allegedly discovered drug paraphernalia, black tar heroin, powder heroin, powder cocaine, crack cocaine and methamphetamine during a search of the van.
Police arrested the driver, Cathleen Spencer, and passenger Greg Spencer on suspicion of conspiracy, possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute, providing false identification information to a peace officer.
