Shots Fired At Watsonville Mobile Home Park; Bullet Misses Sleeping Child

Older model gray 4-door vehicle, possibly Lexus, seen leaving area. Police seeking leads.

WATSONVILLE, CA - Police are seeking an unknown suspect in a shooting that occurred at a mobile home park Sunday evening. Police said officers responded at 7:19 p.m. to reports of shots heard near Green Valley Village Mobile Homes located at 501 S. Green Valley Rd.

According to police, residents told officers they heard several gunshots in the area, and upon further investigation found one of the mobile homes and two parked cars had been struck by bullets.

Police said one bullet that struck the mobile home penetrated a wall and landed inside the residence a few feet from a sleeping child. An older model gray 4-door vehicle, possibly a Lexus, was seen leaving the area around the same time the shots were heard, according to police. Police said there is no information yet on whether the vehicle was related to the shooting.

No one was struck by the bullets during the incident.
