• Before they need us: Rethinking how police build trust with children (police1.com) — Seal Beach police just wrapped a year-long “Safety Seal” program that brought officers into every McGaugh Elementary PE class to teach safety, 911 skills, and healthy habits. Nearly two-thirds of the small 39-officer department and many volunteers joined in, building ongoing, positive relationships so local kids know officers as helpers long before any emergency.
