5 People Arrested Following Suspected DUI Police Chase

Five people are in custody after a short police pursuit of a suspected DUI driver that ended in North Hollywood, authorities said today.

The pursuit began about 10:45 p.m. in Pacoima and ended about 11:05 p.m. at the intersection of Vineland Avenue and Chandler Boulevard, a Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic officer said.

Broadcast footage showed two men running from the vehicle, a white Chevrolet sedan, after it was stopped by a Pursuit Intervention Tactic (PIT). They were apprehended, the officer said.

Three other people who remained in the vehicle, including the male driver, were also arrested, although no one had been booked, the officer said.
