Updated: 8-Car Pile-Up Triggers 110 SigAlert
Two people were hospitalized and several lanes of the Harbor (110) Freeway near the Westlake district were closed.

Updated at 8:24 a.m.: Eight vehicles collided on the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway near the Westlake district this morning, temporarily shutting down three freeway lanes and sending two people to the hospital, authorities said.
The chain-reaction crash on the 110 Freeway at James M. Wood Boulevard just north of Olympic Boulevard was reported at 6:28 a.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Bishop.
At least eight vehicles were involved in the collision, according to the CHP.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported at least two people to the hospital for treatment of injuries, according to department spokesman Brian Humphrey. Their conditions were not immediately reported.
The collision shut down the Number 1, 2, and 3 lanes of the freeway. A SigAlert was declared by the CHP at 6:44 a.m.

All lanes were cleared at 7:28 a.m., according to the CHP.
