Arson Inspectors Investigate Series of Fires Near Mulholland Drive

Firefighters today quickly extinguished three small grass fires in the Beverly Glen area, and a man was detained for questioning.

The fires were reported shortly before 1 p.m. in the 3300 block of North Beverly Glen Boulevard, near Mulholland Drive, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Arson investigators were sent to the scene, Scott said. It was not immediately known if the man who was detained was involved in the fires.
