Chabad of Sherman Oaks and Sherman Oaks Galleria to host community Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Celebration Dec. 16, 6-8pm.

Families will experience a festival of free activities, performances and refreshments highlighted by the lighting of the Galleria's Menorah.

Sherman Oaks, CA December 12. 2014 – Rabbi Menachem M. Lipskier of Chabad of Sherman Oaks will preside over the lighting of the Menorah on the corner of Ventura and Sepulveda boulevards at the Sherman Oaks Galleria as part of an evening of family fun at the annual Chanukah celebration.

Chanukah – the Festival of Lights -- is celebrated this year from Dec. 16 to 24. Generally thought of as a Jewish Festival, Chanukah is a celebration for all to share in. The evening will include a special holiday message by Rabbi Lipskier.

Chabad of Sherman Oaks is a center for Jews of all backgrounds who want to learn more about their Jewish roots. Chabad offers a wide variety of educational and spiritual opportunities, including Torah classes and lectures, Shabbaton dinners, and an array of family and social activities.
