Coughing Fit Causes Truck Carrying 45K Pounds of Coors, Pabst to Overturn
A drunk on its way from Los Angeles overturned in Northern California, spilling 45,000 pounds of beer and chocking traffic for hours.

A big-rig carrying 45,000 pounds of beer from Los Angeles to Richmond California overturned, when the driver had a coughing fit Thursday morning.
The big-rig blocked two lanes of Interstate Highway 580, a California Highway Patrol officer said. The wreck blocked much of the freeway for hours because workers had to unload 45,000 pounds of Coors Light and Pabst Blue Ribbon before the trailer could be uprighted, said CHP Officer Daniel Hill.
According to the CHP, the driver had a coughing fit while hauling the beer on westbound I-580 just past Foothill Road at 3:12 a.m. The driver began to choke, blacked out briefly and the truck overturned, Hill said. The truck driver was taken to a hospital with a complaint of pain but any injuries he suffered were minor, Hill said.
