Crews Rescue Fallen Hiker Near Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — First responders were preparing to air hoist a fallen hiker to safety Sunday morning. The man was found 70 to 80 feet downslope from Mulholland Drive in Beverly Crest, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

Crews planned to transport the injured man to an area hospital by air ambulance, officials said.

The man's condition was not immediately known.
