House Extensively Damaged by Fire
It takes 56 firefighters 20 minutes to douse the flames.
A one-story house in Van Nuys was extensively damaged Wednesday night by a fire firefighters said began in a detached garage.
The fire at 14926 Martha St., near Burbank Boulevard and Kester Avenue, was reported at 7:44 p.m., said Shawn Lenske of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It took 56 firefighters 20 minutes to douse the flames.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. No injuries were reported.
