Man Accidentally Stabs Himself During Altercation at Liquor Store, Police Say
The incident occurs at Short Stop Liquor at 15318 Vanowen St. in Van Nuys.

A man who pulled a knife during an altercation at a Van Nuys liquor store ended up inadvertently stabbing himself, police said today.
The fight occurred at Short Stop Liquor at 15318 Vanowen St., said Sgt. Steve Gottschalk of the Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys Station. It happened around 10:30 p.m., according to a news photographer at the scene.
The man was taken to a hospital with a self-inflicted wound, Gottschalk said. His condition was not immediately reported.
