VIDEO: Man Rescued From Treetop

Firefighters today rescued a tree trimmer who became stuck about 80 feet up a palm tree in Sherman Oaks.

Emergency crews were sent to the 14000 block of West Valley Vista Boulevard at 12:36 p.m., Matt Spence of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The man, in his 30s, was brought to safety after about an hour, and was taken to a hospital in fair condition, Spence said.
