A man who was killed when the car he was driving struck a tree in Sherman Oaks was identified today.Jose Luis Barrera-Tome, 20, of North Hollywood, died at the scene, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.The crash occurred about 8 p.m. Tuesday at 12935 Chandler Blvd., near Coldwater Canyon Avenue, authorities said.A woman riding in the car was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.
