Teen Actors Garrett Clayton (Disney Channel's "Teen Beach Movie") and Teo Halm ("Earth to Echo") Will Help Santa Light the Christmas Tree at Sherman Oaks Galleria's "Tree Lighting Extravaganza" Wednesday December 3- Come Rain or Shine!

Sherman Oaks, CA December 2 2014 – Santa Claus will get help lighting the Sherman Oaks Galleria Christmas tree Wednesday Dec. 3 from teen movie stars Garrett Clayton (Disney Channel movie Teen Beach Movie) and Teo Halm (Relativity Studio’s 2014 summer hit Earth to Echo) at the Sherman Oaks Galleria’s annual Tree Lighting Extravaganza December 3.

This year’s “Extravaganza” (6:30pm – 9pm) includes a 45-minute holiday variety show featuring a Nutcracker-themed dance performance by Arthur Murray Sherman Oaks, a presentation by Congressman Brad Sherman’s office, and a salute to local charity “Actors for Autism” including comments from the organization’s president, actress and singer Charlene Tilton.

The second half of the show features comedy jugglers Jack & Jeri and the Millikan Middle School Choir prior to the show’s climax: the Tree lighting ceremony starting with Santa’s processional through the Galleria’s promenade accompanied by Mrs. Claus, Garrett Clayton, Teo Halm and holiday characters including trumpeters, The Grinch and Snowman.

The group gathers onstage and leads the audience in a traditional countdown ending with throwing the switch lighting the tree.
After the show, the audience can enjoy a variety of complimentary activities and refreshments including free photos with Santa, autographs by Teo and Garrett, Santa’s Crafts Workshop, a braid bar by Paul Mitchell the School, Santa’s photo booth, caricature artist and wax hands plus a magic elf and a balloon artist. DSW will be giving away tote bags while supplies last.

Audience members will also have a chance to win one of two sets of a family four pack of tickets to see Garrett Clayton in Pasadena Playhouse’s production of Sleeping Beauty and her Winter Knight. 

Refreshments will be served before and after the show including cotton candy, coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn, brownies and cupcakes compliments of Starbucks, Serviz, ArcLight Cinemas, Ben & Jerry’s and Actors for Autism.
