Twisted Sister Frontman's Granddaughter Makes Dramatic Entrance into the World

LOS ANGELES, CA — Dee Snider, the 1980s glam rocker and Twisted Sister frontman, has always known how to make a memorable entrance, and so does his new granddaughter, who decided to come into the world on the San Diego (405) Freeway.

Snider's son, Jesse Blaze Snider, was driving his pregnant wife Patty from the San Fernando Valley to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on Sunday afternoon, but the baby just couldn't wait out the drive through the Sepulveda Pass. So mom gave birth to Parker Pryde Snider in the car.

"We just had the baby in the car on the way to the hospital," Jesse Snider said in a video he posted on Instagram shortly after the birth.

He said the baby girl was born around 2:50 p.m.

"We were a little surprised by it all," he said on the video, which shows him in the driver's seat and Patty holding the baby in the passenger seat. "We waited a little to long to leave, I think, but the baby's healthy and already breast-feeding, and we love her."

Dee Snider took to Twitter to proclaim the birth, saying the girl weighed in at 8 pounds 10 ounces and was "delivered in the car on the 405 Fwy BY THE MOM (Viking), Patty Snider while the dad @tweetjesse drove!"

"Thanks to all for the love, positive messages and retweets on the freeway birth of my newest grandchild Parker (Pryde) Snider," he wrote.

The child is the couple's fourth.
