• Shingletown man killed in weekend collision on Highway 44 identified (redding.com) — A 63-year-old Shingletown resident, Phillip Mathew Detrant, has been identified as the driver killed in a Highway 44 crash west of Inwood Road on May 9. Investigators say his car crossed the center line and hit a pickup, injuring four women with minor to moderate injuries. CHP reports everyone wore seatbelts and alcohol or drugs were not factors.
