A Sierra Madre Treasure: Sculptures from the Late Bruce Crow
A Sierra Madre library trustee's tribute to a former trustee: Remarkable work by the late Bruce Crow on display through August only.
You are in for a treat this month until August 31st; our has a display case filled with treasures: beautifully crafted sculptures by the late Bruce Crow, our former Mayor and Library Trustee.
Who knew this about Bruce? If I hadn’t been the lucky recipient of one of his pieces, I probably wouldn’t have known that our family friend, quiet and unassuming, was such a talented man.
So, now I wonder how many other artists, writers, actors, musicians, poets and folk blessed with artistic talents there are from Sierra Madre that I’m unaware of.

This sculpture display is called ‘Bruce Crow Retrospective’ and was assembled with care by Donna Howard, talented in her own right as she arranges the monthly display case exhibits in our Library.
Joan Crow and her family provided the majority of the pieces from her husband’s collection - a loving reflection of her particular favorites.
