Alverno High students put up Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" with a twist- the entire cast is female except for two roles.
students performed Arthur Miller's Tony-award winning play "The Crucible" on November 3, 4, and 5.
Director and Alverno English teacher Cynthia Cales became interested in directing "The Crucible" at Alverno as she was creating a cross-curricular lesson plan between the drama class and the sophomore American Literature classes.

This production has a predominately Alverno female cast with the exception of two male actors from Pasadena High School and St. Francis.
