The Sierra Madre Playhouse unveils Battledrum, a story of Civil War drummer boys to San Gabriel Valley students and families on March 7. The West Coast premiere of award winning playwright Doug Cooney's play with music will include a field trip experience for over 1,200 area schoolchildren with a lobby exhibit, workshops and historian talks as well as some related events throughout the 6 week run. The show will be open to the public during our typical weekend performance dates. Other events are planned throughout March and April that celebrate our rich heritage from the Civil War era.
