Simi Valley residents now dealing with stench from Lineage fire's food waste (nbclosangeles.com) — Residents near the Simi Valley Landfill, especially in the Big Sky neighborhood, say a powerful stench from rotting food dumped after the Lineage warehouse fire is making daily life unpleasant. Ventura County air regulators have cited the landfill for creating a public nuisance, while Waste Management says it's permitted to take food waste and is using covers and deodorizers as deliveries wind down.
   

2. Princess Diana exhibition to make world premiere at Reagan library (vcstar.com) — Simi Valley's Reagan Library will host the world premiere of a major Princess Diana exhibition starting November 7, featuring more than 700 artifacts including her famous Travolta dance dress and other iconic outfits. The show runs through May, and locals can already buy presale tickets, offering a rare chance to see items on loan from Kensington Palace and private collections close to home.

4. Reseda woman sentenced to state prison for fatal fentanyl sale (vcstar.com) — A Reseda woman has been sentenced to 15 years to life for selling fentanyl that killed a 28-year-old Simi Valley man in 2024, after an investigation by Simi Valley police and Ventura County drug units. Authorities say earlier searches tied her to large quantities of narcotics, guns, and cash, underscoring ongoing regional efforts to combat deadly fentanyl sales affecting Simi residents.
