• CAL FIRE Night Aerial Firefighting Training at McClellan and Regional Lakes (edhat.com) — Expect low-flying CAL FIRE helicopters over Lake Englebright near Smartsville through Thursday night as crews train for night aerial firefighting ahead of peak fire season. Flights based from McClellan will run up to midnight and include live water drops, all under strict FAA rules, to sharpen pilots’ skills for protecting local communities this summer.
