22 DUI Arrests Made In Sonoma County Over St. Paddy's Day Weekend
The CHP made 22 DUI arrests in Sonoma County over the St. Patrick's Day weekend and two of those drivers suffered life threatening injuries.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- The California Highway Patrol made 22 DUI arrests in Sonoma County over the St. Patrick's Day weekend, and two of those drivers suffered life-threatening injuries Saturday, the CHP said.
Daniel Wade Shaw, 50, of Santa Rosa, suffered major life-threatening injuries Sunday morning when his Ford F-250 truck collided with a stop sign, utility pole, tree and fence on westbound Mark West Springs
Road north of Santa Rosa, CHP Officer Jon Sloat said.
Two passengers ages 20 and 11 were not injured in the 8:25 a.m. crash, Sloat said.

Shaw was arrested for DUI and child endangerment and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The crash closed the road for six hours for replacement of the utility pole, Sloat said.
Joshua Eugene Vincent Cox, 37, of Windsor suffered life-threatening injuries when he crashed a 2016 Dodge Challenger into a guardrail, paddle marker and a sign off northbound Old Redwood Highway north of Arata Lane near Windsor around 1 a.m. Saturday, Sloat said.

A passenger, Steven Andrew Delucchi, 24, of Santa Rosa, suffered major injuries that weren't life threatening, Sloat said. Both men went to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Sloat said.
It appears Cox and Delucchi were not wearing seatbelts when the airborne Dodge Challenger went down into a creek, Sloat said. Cox was arrested for DUI and released to the hospital, Sloat said.
