You can submit feedback through October 19 or speak at the Historic Preservation Commission's October 13 meeting, helping shape which stories, places, and periods of Sonoma's past are highlighted in future preservation decisions.

The Camino de Sonoma: A Scenic 75-Mile Thru-Hike in California Wine Country (thetrek.co) β Starting right in Sonoma at Mission San Francisco Solano, the Camino de Sonoma offers a 75βmile, sixβday pilgrimage-style hike through wine country hamlets, vineyards, redwoods, and coastline to Fort Ross. Locals can tackle individual stages, join nonprofit-led guided walks, or host passing hikers, with food, lodging, and occasional camping options available along the route.

Governor Newsom signs fix for retired County of Sonoma employees (krcb.org) β Retired County of Sonoma employees could soon see long-delayed cost-of-living relief after Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 1601, allowing local leaders to design new COLA options. The change lets Sonoma County and its retirement association target the most affected retirees and negotiate how any adjustments are structured and funded going forward.
