Auditions for Carrie: The Musical

Sonoma Theatre Alliance's Teens 'N Training (TNT) program to hold auditions for Carrie: The Musical on Dec. 14

The Sonoma Theatre Alliance’s Teens ‘N Training (TNT) program will be holding auditions for Carrie: The Musical starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, at En-er-gy Fitness, 450 1st St. E., on Sonoma Plaza. Performance dates are Feb. 25-Mar. 1 on the Rotary Stage in Andrews Hall.

All roles are available, including several for youth age 13 and up, as well as two for adult females. Those auditioning are asked to prepare a song and monologue of their choosing, no longer than 3 minutes each, and bring a CD or mp3 player for accompaniment.

Carrie: The Musical will be directed by TNT Education Director Libby Oberlin, MA, who has been teaching the Ensemble Training Workshops leading up to the production. Oberlin says: “The rehearsal process for Carrie: The Musical will be about more than putting on a play. The issue of bullying, sadly so prevalent in our society today, has never been so tragically, yet beautifully depicted than in Carrie: The Musical. This show is not only important to put on, it is necessary. The incredibly talented Teens ‘N Training ensemble, combined with our accomplished pool of local actors, will put on a production that will teach and inspire our audiences. We hope you’ll be a part of this significant educational theater experience.”
