Body Found In Santa Rosa Creek

A man's body was found in a Santa Rosa creek Saturday morning.

SANTA ROSA, CA — The body of a man believed to be in his mid-60s was found Saturday morning in Piner Creek, Santa Rosa police said.

The cause and time of death is under investigation by the Sonoma County Coroner's Unit, police said in a press release.

About 8:40 a.m., someone walking along the Piner Creek Trail reported a possibly deceased person in the creek near Centurion Drive, police said.

Firefighters helping police search the creek found the dead Caucasian man just south of Guerneville Road, police said.
