Carrie: The Musical in Sonoma February 25-March 1, 2015
Sonoma Theater Alliance/Teens 'N Training Production #CarrieOnSonoma

The Sonoma Theatre Alliance Teens ‘N Training Program presents Carrie: The Musical for six performance only February 25-March 1 on the Rotary Stage in Andrews Hall, 276 East Napa Street, Sonoma. This musical adaptation of Stephen King’s classic story is directed by Teens ‘N Training Education Director Libby Oberlin, MA. Oberlin says: “Carrie: The Musical is about communication and self-expression. The audience will bear witness to what happens when we lose the ability to communicate our feelings and needs to others. We’ve decided to shine a light on our current obsession with social media by having actors live tweeting, texting, and posting during the show. Carrie: The Musical shows the dangers of using social media against people, so we’ve purposely decided to use social media to share the important messages in our play and reach a wider audience.”
The production is supported by a generous grant from the Rotary Club of Sonoma Valley. Performances are at 8pm Wednesday-Saturday, 2pm Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $20 for adults, $16 students/seniors and can be purchased on-line at svbo.org or by calling (707) 938-4626. #CarrieOnSonoma
