In Sonoma: The Defying Gravity Gals are back!
"We Can Do It!" – a tribute to women in World War II

Sonoma’s own Defying Gravity Gals will return to Andrews Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 18 and 19, with “We Can Do It!” -- a tribute to women in World War II. The J Love Productions show is part of the Sonoma Theatre Alliance’s Sonoma Nights Showcase series. Showtime is 7 p.m. at the Sonoma Community Center, 276 E. Napa St.
Producer Jaime Love and other local performers Lori Bailey, Kerry Daly, Laura Bloom Farber, Jeane MacPherson and Monica McKey bring years of experience to this collaborative effort. Also returning this year will be special guest Bob Smith.
The new element added for this show is The GI Joes little “big band,” made up of local musicians led by conductor/arranger John Partridge.

The Defying Gravity Gals are known for their entertaining mix of music and comedy. This year, in anticipation of the 50th anniversary of the war’s end next year, their playlist will be from the war years, and there will be a nostalgic tribute to real-life “Rosie the Riveter” and USO women.
The audience is encouraged to come dressed in 1940s style.
