Did You Watch "Mad Men" Last Night?

OMG, can you believe what happened between Don and - well, you know. And what about Joan and Roger? How long can that stay a secret? Has Pete really changed?

Last night was the season premiere of AMC's hit show "Mad Men," and to judge by the press build-up the king was coming back to town.

Or maybe it's just the mute and manly personna of Don Draper, as portrayed by the moody Jon Hamm.

Elizabeth Moss has been stepping out too, in more ways than one, with a  starring role in another cable series, "Top of the Lake."

What is it that the series, about a Madison Ave. advertising firm from the 1950s up to this season's Swingin' Sixties time frame, that's so compelling? Is it the fashion? the decor? the dialog, stilted thought it often is?
