SONOMA VALLEY, CA — The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified a driver who died in a solo vehicle crash near Sonoma early Monday morning as Gerick Raju, 50, of Sonoma.Raju was driving a 2012 Nissan Rogue west on Napa Road east of Eighth Street East around 12:20 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said. SONOMA VALLEY, CA — The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified a driver who died in a solo vehicle crash near Sonoma early Monday morning as Gerick Raju, 50, of Sonoma.

Raju was driving a 2012 Nissan Rogue west on Napa Road east of Eighth Street East around 12:20 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said. The Nissan drifted off the road, striking a mailbox and trash can before hitting a concrete culvert in a drainage ditch, according to the CHP in Napa County.
